About

Based in a cold, snowy region known as "The North" lived a shaman known as Sixteen-Face John, who fears he's losing his way in the modern world. John's wife, No Problem, is expecting a baby whom they plan to name Soonchild. However Soonchild refuses to leave the womb because she can't hear the 'World Songs'- a special kind of music that all children must hear before they can be born as it is necessary for the world to exist.

In order to help Soonchild be born, John is forced to embark on a 'Big Dream Trip' to find the World Songs and bring them home. During John's shaman trance he encounters many spirits and demons who help but also hinder his quest, such as Nanuq the giant polar bear, Ukpika the owl-woman, Yarluk the killer whale and the spirit of his great grandmother who was also a shaman.
